 21st January 2010 - Movie Night at the Buddha Bag is always a fun night of community, cinema and the sharing of thoughts. Sometimes we know what the movie is going to be, sometimes we don't and other times we vote on a selection available on the night. But the best bit is always the end when we can sit in our discussion circle and talk about what we liked or didn't like about the film; what inspired us to think differently and what points we did or didn't agree with.
For the most part, the theme of the movie or documentary will focus on some spiritual or philosophical concept that resonates with what we generally share at the Buddha Bag. 17th September 2009 - Indian Singing Performance: The Heart of Raga. We welcome Rajeswar, renowned singer and teacher of song from Bengal, India.
The source of a Raga's life is the singer or player of the raga. This is why the learning of Raga music, consists, in its essence, in intensifying the life of the singer, making it accessible to him so that he may make a Raga live when he sings or plays it. All Ragas exist in principle everywhere in our lives. But until you have discovered a Raga for yourself from the stuff of your own life, it is of no use. If into a scale a singer can put his life, it is this life that a Raga kindles, and it burns before you for a while, then it is quenched. 
Rajeswar Bhattacharya was born in 1943 in Kolkata and studied at Gitabitan music school. He also studied classical music under Ramesh Banerjee and then Malabika Kannan. He continued his studies of Tagore music with Kanak Biswas.
In 1972, founded his own music school, `Rabimallar'. Over two hundred and forty students are now registered in this school. Rajeswar is now established as a leading exponent of Tagore music in Bengal renowned for both the depth of his interpretation due to his classical background, and also his willingness to experiment and innovate. This year he received two prestigious awards for his outstanding contribution to the music of Tagore. |

 Martin is the director of the OakTree Charitable Trust, a nonprofit organization that runs the Irish Centre for Shamanic Studies and The Transpersonal Institute at Dunderry Park.

Alberto Gariglio was born in Turin, Italy on the 3rd of December 1977. He took classic piano lessons for two years at the age of 11 years old. He played for eight years with friends from his hometown in a rock band called Everlasting. He developed as a self-taught musician. He moved to Dublin, Ireland two years ago and, since then, he started composing his own classical/soundtracks/film piano music. He believes that music can help people to release their feelings and emotions, and to describe situations, moments of life in order to reach a natural state of peace, love and tranquillity. He inspires on the artwork of Sergio Susperregui, an argentinian painter/artist, to give a visual interpretation of his music to the audience. He has recorded his first CD, called �IO � INDIFESO� (Myself � Unprotected) in the �Estudios Ion� in Buenos Aires, Argentina in March 2007. At the moment he is promoting his CD and playing gigs in Dublin. YES its dream interpretation time, so if you have a recurring dream or one that just stays in your mind, come and share, and lets decode our subconcious messages together.In 1991 while studying for a degree in Information Technology a series of unusual events led Michael to question the meaning of life and search for a purpose behind our existence. Up until that time he saw scientific explanations as the ultimate truth and had pursued the three science subjects on offer in his school; chemistry, physics and biology. Mathematics was his favorite subject and early on he discovered an affinity for computers and digital electronics. At age 17 he was building digital electronic circuits to assist handicapped people to communicate. He moved from Dublin, Ireland to Fairbanks, Alaska at age 19 where he met and married Marnie. They returned to Ireland in 1989 and both subsequently became interested in Complementary therapies. Based in the UK, the two musicians set out to create a multimedia project that would encompass a CD, DVD and cinematic presentation that would offer a complete artistic statement. Buddha Bag Meeting - 12 March 2009 Kathy Newburn, a long-time student of the Ageless Wisdom teachings, worked for many years at the Lucis Trust, New York in various capacities. She also worked for the Seven Ray Institute, a nonprofit, educational, spiritual organization. She is also affiliated with a number of spiritual groups in the New York area. She is presently working outside Copenhagen, Denmark to help establish a spiritual center dedicated to esoteric astrology and the seven rays. Her work is focused upon helping to bring the Ageless Wisdom teachings to the new generation of seekers.

After the event was over, "The Movie" was tossed online with little thought given to a public response. Within a month, the film was getting record views.
